We are a small kennel in North Devon We are proudly owned by four Alaskan Malamutes and six Siberian Huskies, some from puppies and some rescued. Our dogs live in the house with us and are fed on the Barf (Bones and Raw Food) Diet. We also foster for Siberian Husky Welfare. Ruth first met Paul in Germany over 25 years ago. Even then Paul had a desire to own an Alaskan Malamute. Ruth never heard of them up until then. Very soon his desire also became Ruth's. We were living in Germany at that time and although we desperately wanted a dog we decided to wait until we returned to the UK. Once our family was complete the desire to own one of these fantastic dogs grew stronger and stronger. It was then that we met Sue Williams who introduced us to our first UK Malamutes, Nico and Kodi. Since then our lives have changed and Sue has become one of our greatest friends. Sadly Nico & Kodi are no longer with us. We are very proud to have known them. Sue kindly introduced us to Barbara Stanier of the Arctictrek Kennel and we've never looked Back. Thanks Barbara and of course Sue. All our dogs have been trained in Basic Obedience, as well as in harness and some in the show ring. We believe in Kind Effective Reward Based Training using the clicker. We truly believe our success in owning a Multiple Dog Household is down to this method of training and not the old dominance training methods once used and generally associated with Nordic Breeds.
