Kody - Arctictrek's Ice Princess for Weyekin

Forstals Xaros X Arctictrek's Lady in Red

Kody came to us in March 2003 from Arctictrek. What a little cracker! Kody is the first Siberian we've owned from a puppy and boy did she keep us on our toes. She managed to strip our entire kitchen floor of floor tiles in no time at all. She is affectionately known as Kody Chew at home. She is mischievous but loving. She was very impatient working wise and couldn't wait to get in harness. Once she did, boy there was no stopping her. Ryan started to run her towards the end of 2004/2005 and they worked very well together. Kody was one of the most important dogs on Paul's team. She is his lead dog. They say "True Lead dogs are born and not made" how true this statement is as it was obvious from the start where she was going to be.  She was part of Paul's winning team at the SHCGB Aviemore Rally 2006.  Kody along with Blizzard had helped Ryan gain 3rd Place in the ABSA Junior Championship in the 2009/10 season.
Kody is now part of Ruth's Veteran team and mentor to the younger dogs.

Millie - Arctictrek's Soul Sister for Weyekin

Shepherdsway Touch of Gold with Arctictrek x Arctictrek's Solar Eclipse

We wanted a very special bitch, of top quality who will become the Foundation for the Weyekin Kennel. She needed to have a superb temperament, She needed to be of correct size, she needed to have all the qualities we love in malamutes with the final ingredient having a great character. So, where would we find such a pup? With Barbara of course and she didn't disappoint us!

Millie is a dream, an absolute doll. She settled in with us so well and already has a huge fan club.

Millie loves to be with you and please you all the time, she's a right chatter box, always woo wooing!!

Millie has a sixth sense and senses when you are not feeling yourself. We've never experienced it before only read about it. It's really is something to see!

It is hoping that next season Millie will be Working with Trooper and Summer.

Blizzard - Vanzants Edna's Blizzard Among Weyekin

Vanzant's Strike X Raipierz Blu-Blaze

Blizzard breezed in to our lives in the Summer of 2006. She is the coolest girl we know, a real sweetheart who loves to be active but at the same time enjoys all the home comforts which include a good snuggle up when watching TV in the evening. When she arrived at our home she was treated by the others in the pack in the way in which Shadow was when she first arrived, as if she was always meant to be here.   She has incredible strength, possibly a natural for Weight Pull. Blizzard had a mixed season during the 2006/2007 season, she ran as part of a two dog, three dog and four dog team and worked incredibly hard. She didn't seem to mind who she ran with or where on the team she was placed as long as she could run! We are so pleased with her working attitude and abilities. While Natalia was training Kira with the flyball box one day we noticed Blizzard watching out of the lounge window. When Kira had finished her training session we brought Blizzard out to see what she'd make of it. To our surprise she worked it out more or less straight away and loves it!
Blizzard is now the part of Ruth's first team, she is a proven working dog, Ruth's Lead dog and along with Kody is mentoring the younger members of the team.

Trooper - Weyekin's Jesse James WTD*

Arctictrek's Storm Trooper at Weyekin X Arctictrek's Soul Sister for Weyekin

Trooper was our first born puppy and is so much like his Dad. Although we told ourselves "No more Boys!" he soon changed our minds. He has such a huge character and is so loving. At present he likes nothing more than to go over Braunton Burrows and run free. Trooper is whistle trained and has a fantastic recall, he loves all dogs and they all love him so we have no problems (of course we are very careful and never let him off the lead near Livestock).
Although now retired from the show ring and has never let us down, always willing to please.  Trooper is Paul's wheel dog and this season he completed his final leg of his American Working Team Dog Title (WTD).
Trooper is featured in an Alaskan Malamute Calendar for 2013 which is sold worldwide.  Woo Hoo!

*Subject to AMCA Confirmation

Wynona - Weyekin's Dances with Wolves

Arctictrek's Storm Trooper at Weyekin X Arctictrek's Soul Sister for Weyekin

From just a couple of weeks old Wynona proved she was going to be a very special young lady. At 11 weeks old it was evident that she had inherited some of her mothers wonderful qualities such as her calming influence, keen to learn and eager to please and very, very affectionate. She's has a good working attitude and has turned Ruth from Musher's Mate to Musher!
Wynona loves obedience and agility and learning new tricks.
Wynona has successfully completed her training and is now a certified School Dog for the Dogs Helping Kids  Children's Charity.  She attends Forches Cross Primary School twice a week.

Summer - Weyekin's Here Comes Summer

Snowolf Black Ice Scorcher among Arctictrek (A I) X Arctictrek Soul Sister for Weyekin

The very beautiful Summer is our latest home bred girl, she's  a special pup from Millie's last litter and we feel honored that Barbara allowed us to use the Awesome Sunny as the sire.

Summer is a very lively girl who is extremely intelligent and always has a smile on her face.  She has the other members of the pack running around after her.  Summer already has a huge fan club.
We are looking forward to doing some wonderful things with her.

Summer has now started her advanced obedience  and will soon be training to work in harness.

Libby - Kegluneq's Rhone to Nikolai to Weyekin

Greentrail Explorer of Kegluneq X Arctictrek's Sexy Mo

Libby came to us at the start of the 2010 season from the Kegluneq Racing and Show Kennels. She comes from excellent working lines.

She has settled in extremely well and has put a bit of life into the Veterans who all adore her. She has the most wonderful temperament and is very confident. She has passed her basic obedience and advanced doggy classes.

She turns heads wherever she goes!

Libby is now busy in training working as part of Paul's team with Trooper and Squaddie.

Squaddie - Hurricane Spirit among Weyekin

Pawpack The Only Star X Amaretto Luck

Squaddie came to us in March 2012 as a rehome, he was meant to be making his way to the Arctictrek Kennels for Barbara to find him a good home.  We went to pick him up as the start of his Journey to Norfolk, Paul was instantly attracted to him, he was a very friendly boy just about to leave his third home in the short time he's had on this planet, Just 5 months.  We brought him home and he was to stay here the night as we were leaving early the next morning on his first leg of the journey.  Squaddie came right in and made friends with the rest of the pack instantly, they all loved him too. Squaddie was in Awe of Trooper's Presence,  It was lovely to see.  Granite thought it was great to have a new friend to chase the girls round the garden with him and back him up in Play.
Next thing Paul is on the phone to Barbara telling her that Squaddie couldn't make the journey to Norfolk the next day as he wanted to stay here at Weyekin.  Barbara thought it was a lovely idea (Thanks Barbara).
He turned a few heads at his first Ring Craft Class and is doing extremely well at his Basic Obedience.
Squaddie is now in harness and his working attitude is excellent, he is still young so he is running with Trooper and Libby to gain his experience on Paul's team

Kira

Kira is owned by our daughter Natalia.  Natalia rehomed her from Siberian Husky Club GB Welfare while she was still at college.

Natalia worked hard with Kira, she passed Basic and Advanced classes and enjoyed many fun classes.
When they both lived at home Kira worked in harness with many of our dogs and in many team combinations.
Although Natalia and Kira no longer live with us, Natalia brings Kira back to visit the others and they look forward to seeing her.
Kira will always be a Weyekin Sled Dog.
